Posting Summary: The Division of General Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey is seeking a board-certified general surgeon at the Assistant Professor level with demonstrated proficiency in laparoscopic surgery and an interest in endocrine surgery to join the Division.

Responsibilities include providing direct patient care through ambulatory visits and participating in weekend and evening call coverage on a rotational basis with other Division members. Additionally, participation in the educational, patient care, research/quality improvement, and other activities of the Division and the Department of Surgery is required.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience: The candidate must be board certified. The Division is seeking an outstanding candidate with a background in general and laparoscopic surgery and must have a record of clinical excellence, and a dedication to collaboration and innovation. Demonstrated research interest, publication record, and participation in national organizations are sought. Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor Level.

 

Overview: The Division of General Surgery has expertise and high-volume clinical practices in the treatment of conditions of the thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, adrenal glands, spleen, esophagus, pancreas, colon and stomach. Our surgical faculty have expertise in the latest minimally invasive techniques in operations of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, colon and esophagus.
