About the Position

The University of Kansas Health System (TUKHS) and the University of Kansas, School of Medicine (KUMC) invite applications at all ranks for multispecialty, ambulatory, pediatric, neuro and critical care subspecialties.  KUMC is the regions premier academic medical center with nationally ranked programs in Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases and Neurosciences.  Over the past decade and a half, TKUHS has experienced tremendous growth as we continue to be a designation center for complex care.  In the past five years along, our inpatient discharges increased by more than 22 percent, and our outpatient encounters have more than doubled.  The candidate must be ABA certified or equivalent.  The department offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a generous retirement plan. 

 

About The University of Kansas Hospital

The University of Kansas Hospital is a 750 bed academic medical center with a Center for Advanced Heart Care, Level 1 Trauma Center, Center for Transplantation, NCI-designated Cancer Center and Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center.  The University of Kansas Hospital is one of fourteen ranked nationally in all eleven medical and surgical specialties by U.S. News & World Report, 2016-17.  In addition, The University of Kansas Hospital is ranked the No. 1 hospital in Kansas City and is named the Best Hospital in Kansas.  Cambridge North Tower, scheduled for completion in 2017, will provide much needed capacity to care for patients.  It will add 92 beds, 28 ICU beds and 12 ORs.
