Director of Mental Health RN (Nurse IV)
Coatesville, PA
Duties:

 

The Director, Mental Health Services is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to all veterans in inpatient and residential outpatient mental health settings. Serves as the principle advisor to the Associate Director for Patient Care Services and Executive Management Team on issues of mental health operations.  The Director for Mental Health Services advises the Associate Director for Patient Care Services/Chief Nurse Executive on matters concerning mental health policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as the interpretation of the Behavioral Health Uniform Benefits Package. He/she collaborates with the ACOS of Mental Health, the Chief of the Domiciliary Program and CVAMC executive leadership to ensure alignment of mental health programs, policies, and resources are consistent with the VHA and facility's mission and goals. The Director of Mental Health will evaluate the quality of services offered within mental health and continuously strive to improve the quality of care in relation to appropriateness, timeliness and cost-effectiveness. Decisions considered and made by the incumbent involve the distinct and contributory role of the nursing processes and creative approaches to management of complex client care. TOUR OF DUTY: Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30p.m.
