The VA Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network Office VISN 6 is currently recruiting for ONE (1) full-time License Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN). Position is located at the Richmond VA Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia.


The LPN Neurology performs a range of treatment procedures according to hospital policy and procedures. Incumbent is responsible for collecting data from patients during their visit and communicating with providers, patients, and other members of the health care team.  Observes, reports and documents all pertinent data. Prepares and assists with special procedures. Contributes to the interdisciplinary team in the development, implementation and evaluation of the patient's treatment plan. The incumbent will observe, record and report changes in the patients condition. Prepares, administers, and documents medications. Communicates with customers in a manner which effectively projects a positive, cooperative image of the organization. He/she will assist patients to identify and establish health goals, performs assigned nursing care responsibilities requiring the use of advanced equipment technology. Provides information and services in a thorough and timely manner. Recognizes and reports potential and/or existing safety hazards. Performs official duties related to the access of sensitive material and/or electronic files in a confidential manner. Works in other clinics of the Medical Specialty Clinics.  



Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, extended hours, weekends, and holidays may be required for coverage. **Management reserves the right to determine and/or change tour of duty.**
