Licensed Practical Nurse - Specialty Care Clinics Float
Minneapolis, MN

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is a Surgery Specialty Care float position. You will be expected to learn various clinics and float to needed areas in a variety of settings, i.e. Audiology, Ophthalmology, Urology, and other outpatient clinics. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administers medications using proper procedures
  • Charts medications and patient reactions appropriately
  • Recognizes and responds to emergency situations
  • Performs suture removals
  • Performs clinic-based competencies such as: supra pubic tube change and specialized injections/procedures in Urology; phototherapy along with patch testing in Dermatology; nail clipping in Podiatry
  • Utilizes reusable medical equipment appropriately
  • Uses practical knowledge of human behavior, motivations and reactions to situations to effectively work with patients, families, significant others, and other staff members. 


Work Schedule: Work schedule is Monday-Friday, hours will vary depending on assigned clinic.
