Position description
The Nurse Manager joins the Director of Health Services to provide Home Health with leadership and operations management consistent with the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Goals of the department. The role of Nurse Manager is in addition to the role of Staff Nurse. The Nurse Manager/Staff Nurse roles are simultaneous. Charter House's mission is to provide the best care through practice, education, and research directs the activities of the registered nurse. The Nursing Process of assessing, diagnosing, outcome identification, planning, implementing, and evaluating is the basis for all care delivered by the registered nurse. The Nurse Manager RN is accountable for planning, directing and coordinating the delivery of direct resident care and for the supervising the nursing care provided by professional and ancillary nursing personnel. The Nurse Manager RN collaborates and communicates with interdisciplinary health care team, resident, family/significant other to meet the care, educational and discharge needs. Adheres to Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN level of education and with a current Minnesota registered nurse license. Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with Home Health and Charter House staff. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of resident and employees. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Maintaining current CPR certification is required.
Additional qualifications
Previous experience in Long Term Care, Home Health or acute care nursing is preferred. Preferred Home Health Certification.
License or certification
Minnesota registered nurse license. CPR Certification.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2316.80, based on a full-time position.

Days: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Other hours may be needed based on business and unit need. Mainly days as a norm.
Weekend schedule
On call 1 out of 4 weekends.
