Nurse Practitioner (MOD)
Waco, TX

This position is in Geriatric and Extended Care (GEC) Service, located in Waco, TX.  

Tour of Duty: Irregular tour of duty will vary outside of a normal (M-F) tour but generally will not exceed 80 hours in a two week period unless overtime is authorized. Tour will include nights, weekends and holidays.

This position is a bargaining unit position.



The Waco Nurse Practitioner MOD works with an interdisciplinary team and serves as the medical officer on duty for the Waco VA campus. The NP functions in an independent clinical capacity providing direct patient care during off hours.  The clinical components include assessing, diagnosing, planning and prescribing pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment of health problems, health promotion and preventive care, and case management with collaborative back up from both Geriatric and Psychiatric MD's on the phone.
