Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric)
Spokane, WA


This Nurse Practitioner position is located in Behavioral Health Service at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. 

 Duties include but not limited to:

·         Provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment to Veteran patients, primarily in the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. 

·         Fosters collaboration and consultation with mental health and medical providers of all disciplines and in a variety of medical settings.

·         Participates in training and clinical supervision of psychiatry residents, psychology interns, primary care staff and others.

·         Documents care in the agency's electronic medical records.

·         Participates in quality assurance activities and peer chart reviews.

·         Demonstrates performance and leadership to improve the care for a diverse group of patients.

·         Provides a full range of mental health services, including urgent and emergent evaluation of episodic and chronic problems, comprehensive, integrates, Veteran-centered mental health care; and collaborative intervention I concert with a multidisciplinary mental health team as well patients' Primary Care Providers. 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
