The Manager, Nursing is responsible for providing, and ensuring that staff under, their direction provides the highest levels of professional nursing and clerical support serves in a health care setting.  An employee in this position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties related to the management of health care services. The Manager, Nursing exercises considerable independent judgment in managing the delivery of health care services.

Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Current/valid FL RN license                

Three years of Neurosurgery exposure/experience required

Management experience preferred

Florida licensed applicants preferred

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
