Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality care to all patients/customers. Provides competent and safe nursing to patients and acts as a resource to other staff. Assist the nursing department director with the day to day operation of the nursing units. Performs performance reviews and other projects as assigned. The nursing shift supervisor has accountability for supervising hospital nursing units on a shift to shift basis.

Qualifications: Experience; -Minimum of two years acute care nursing experience required. -Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Education; -Graduate of an associate’s degree or diploma program. If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is also required. -Graduation from an accredited associate's degree program will be required beginning on January 1, 2016. -All entry-level associate degree or diploma registered nurses with a RN start date after October 1, 2013, must provide documented evidence of program completion of their baccalaureate degree in nursing within 6 years from the last day of the month of their RN start date. -Beginning on January 1, 2016 baccalaureate programs must be accredited.

License or Certification: Licensure & Certification; -Current RN license by applicable state requirements -Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency -Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area

Hours/Pay Period: 48
Schedule Details: 12 hour shifts D/N rotator with majority of hours days. Variety of hours as needed to assist in unit needs.
Weekend Schedule: Every third weekend and holiday
