Registered Nurse Med-Surg/4A
Augusta, GA

Work Schedule: Various Tours (12 hour day/12 hour night) to include weekends and holidays
Location of position: Downtown Division, Nursing Services/4A


· The Registered Nurse is assigned to the inpatient Medical Surgical Unit and is accountable to the Unit Nurse Manager. 

·  Responsible for the delivery of fundamental, knowledge-based care to assigned surgery patients while maintaining technical competencies. 

·  Understands professional practice standards and principles and applies these concepts into practice; must possess the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team approach. 

·  Work and function within a safe manner including infection control and operation of equipment

·  Works collaboratively with other disciplines in the Medical Center providing Acute and Telemetry Nursing care. 

·  Participate in in-services, performance improvement activities/initiatives and customer services programs at the unit and service line levels.
