St. Joseph Health System

St. Joseph Health System (SJHS) has been serving the Brazos Valley with its integrated health care network of hospitals and clinics for almost 75 years. We blend advanced technology with traditional values of community service and compassionate care through our core values of reverence, service, and stewardship.

Our hospital System includes a 310-bed acute care Lead level III Trauma Center, 31-bed rehabilitation facility, 3 rural hospitals, 2 long-term care facilities, and numerous rural and emergent care clinics. Recent renovation and expansion efforts include a 37-bed state-of-the-art surgical unit, a 36-bed medical unit, conversion to all private patient rooms, expanded emergency and telemetry services, and a new Urgent Care Clinic in College Station.  Current renovation includes expansion of all Women’s and Materal/child services, including a new Level III NICU.

St. Joseph received the Texas Award for Performance Excellence in 2007.  The St. Joseph Regional Health Center is also designated as both an accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center.  St. Joseph provides the highest quality patient care, valuable medical research and clinical education, as well as significant benefits to the communities we serve.

SJHS serves a 12-county area in Central East Texas, stretching between Houston, Austin, and Dallas/Ft.Worth metro areas.  Bryan-College Station residents enjoy a low crime rate, lower cost of living – and no state income tax.  The area is known for its research and high tech industry, natural landscapes (30+ parks), excellent schools, fine dining, and cultural attractions such as the George Bush Presidential Library.
